Awards are for a maximum of 2000 dollars.

The purpose of this surcharge is to provide funding to support the highest quality dissertation research. The funds should be used to understand the understanding of making the skills or to provide resources that are not available on existing university assets. Proposed activities or resources must be directly related to the dissertation of a student. Examples of acceptable applications for a dissertation research improvement Subsidy include (but are not limited to it):

• Advice or collaborative work with experts of affairs that are directly related to the dissertation if this support is not available in UT Arlington.
• Travel to websites with unique research sources, archives, libraries, field stations.
• travel to guide interviews with an author or other people where the dissertation focuses.
• participation in a workshop or a short course directly relevant for the dissertation (eg to learn the methodology).
• Payment of topics that participate in a research project when a strong justification is that the subject payment is required and significantly improves the quality, scope, reliability, etc. of collected data.
• the purchase of specialized small appliances, deliveries, records, only if funds for such articles are not available from other sources (i.e., Advisor subsidy, department fund). Note: The departments of must pay half of the costs for all device articles (which must stay in UT Arlington ).
• a scientific assistant or another personnel to carry out the work where the dissertation student does not reasonably lead themselves (extensive analysis of data, computer programming, etc.).
• Other unique services that are not available at the university, e.g. B. demanding data or chemical analyzes.

Things that are not financed :

• all activities or resources that are not essential components of research, as described and understood in the dissertation proposal.
• conference travel to visit general discussions on the topics in a student field or to present a paper.

Authorization

• The student must be in good condition.
• The student must have a proposal or a prospectus, which is formally approved by its monitoring committee from its monitoring committee, before submitting a request for a dissertation researcher.
